A bit about us…

We have not walked through marriage as though it were a garden without weeds, untouched by hardship. The path has been uneven, at times steep, yet along the way God has allowed the fruit of our covenant to ripen into something both sweet and sustaining.

Many believe a “good” marriage is simply the outcome of wise choices or natural compatibility, as if harmony were handed to two people who happen to fit just right. But marriage is not so shallow a thing. It is a mystery of grace—formed not merely by our efforts, but by how we come to see and embrace God’s design.

As Paul wrote, “This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church” (Ephesians 5:32). A good marriage is not defined by ease, but by the beauty of perseverance, surrender, and love that grows when two souls yield themselves to the One who holds them together—“a cord of three strands is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

You can hear our compelling story on the earlier episodes of "A Walk in the Park" Podcast. We are a devoted couple from the heart of the Midwest who initially met during our time at Seminary in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and have since lived in various locations across the United States. Throughout our journey together, we have faced significant medical, financial, and career challenges that have tested our resilience and commitment to one another. Our love for Jesus remains steadfast, even during the most trying times, even when we don’t understand what He is doing. Life is most definitely a faith venture.

We genuinely cherish our marriage and our two wonderful sons, who are steadily growing into thoughtful young men. God is now weaving together the rich tapestry of our experiences and knowledge, guiding us as we work to strengthen our relationship while also assisting others in uncovering their own marriage’s unique purpose in life. It is indeed a wonderful privilege for us to support other couples, whether they have been married for 40 years or preparing for their upcoming union, in building a robust foundation for enduring love.
